Alysia Yates
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR HOSPITALITY AND MINISTRY
Alysia Yates is thrilled to be a part of the NC State Study Center team and to work with students in her own neighborhood. Alysia earned her undergraduate degree in English literature and Italian from UNC-Chapel Hill and her graduate degree in Church History from Trinity Anglican Seminary.
A mother of four, writer, and editor, Alysia most recently worked as the project manager for Caritas Foundation International. She has also served as an ESL teacher within the refugee and immigrant community, a facilitator for JourneyMates, a mentor for the New City Fellows Program, and the editor of the Eighth Day Prayer series.
Alysia is married to John, the rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Raleigh. They have enjoyed twenty-five years of church ministry together, and they delight in their grown and growing children, Sylvie, Isabel, Jack, and Xander. Alysia relishes her time with family, long walks with friends, climbing the occasional mountain, and the magic of a cup of tea or a good book.
