Intern Insider

The Intern Insider is a behind-the-scenes look at life at the Study Center through the eyes of our interns. While a Study Center intern typically works one to two shifts a week (opening or closing the house), those shifts are about far more than little tasks. Yes, they include simple rhythms like turning on the lights, brewing the coffee, and filling the space with calming music, but they also create an environment where students feel welcomed and at ease.

Interns serve as intentional, friendly faces in the house, eager to engage with students whether staff members are present or not. Through conversation, hospitality, and attentiveness, they strive to reflect the love of Christ and embody the mission of the Study Center in both small and meaningful ways.

From restocking bathrooms to sharing deep or lighthearted conversations, interns act as steady points of connection within the space. These diverse yet essential moments, often unseen, are the heartbeat of what it means to be a Study Center intern.
